George Manawa Student File

Student file of George Manawa, a member of the Creek Nation, who entered the school on April 18, 1910 and departed on March 3, 1913. The file contains former student response postcards, a student information card, letters/correspondence, news clippings, medical/physical records, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Manawa was a second lieutenant in the cavalry at Carlisle in 1912, a salesman, farmer, and an interpreter for real estate in Eufaula, Oklahoma in 1914 and an continued work as an interpreter in 1916.

In school documentation George Manawa's name is also spelled George Manawah, George Monawa, and George B. Manawa.
