John Lonestar (Ke-ua-ge-zi-que-ba) Student File

Student file of John Lonestar, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on February 5, 1891 and ultimately departed on September 30, 1895. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, letters/correspondence, a photograph, former student response postcards, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Lonestar was living in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1909, a storekeeper in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1910, and as a painter and decorator in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1913 and 1915.

In school documentation John Lonestar's name is also spelled John Lone Star. He is also known as Ke-ua-ge-zi-que-ba, John H. Lonestar, and J. H. Lonestar.
