Other documentation shows that Burns Prairie was a member of the Sioux nation who arrived on September 12, 1913 and transferred to Haskell Indian School upon the closure of Carlisle.
In school documentation Thomas Burns Prairie's name is also spelled Thomas Burns-Prairie, Thomas Burnsprarie, and Thomas Burnsprairie. He is also known as Tom Burns Prairie.
