Student file of Sarah Vanacy, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 7, 1889 and ultimately departed on July 5, 1899. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating Vanacy was a housewife living in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1912.
In school documentation Sarah Vanacy's name is also spelled Sara Vanacy. She has two married names Sarah Crowe (Mrs. Elige Crow)and Sarah Johnson (Mrs. William Johnson). Her married name Sarah Johnson is also spelled Sara Johnson and Sarah V. Johnson.
