Mattie Read Student File

Student file of Mattie Read, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on February 4, 1881, and departed on July 6, 1885. The file contains a student information card, a photograph, correspondence, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving indicating Reid was a housewife living in Riverbank, California in 1913. 

In school documentation Mattie Read's name is also spelled Mattie Reid, Mattie Ried, and Mattie Reed. She is also known as Mona. Her married name is Mattie Luther (Mrs. Martin Luther) or Mattie Reid Luther or Mattie Read Luther.
