Margaret Blackwood Student File

Student file of Margaret Blackwood, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1907 and departed around June 14, 1910. The file contains a student information card, physical records, a conduct card, an application for enrollment, correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and an outing record. The files indicate that Blackwood had been a member of the office force of the Carlisle Indian Press, and had married fellow student Sampson Burd. A news clipping relates that she died shortly after their marriage.
