The file indicates that Baird was a prominent baseball player, worked on the "New Era" in Rosebud, South Dakota, and at the Rosebud Boarding School in Rosebud, South Dakota. The file also indicates that Baird worked as an assistant printer at the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania from 1902 to 1905, and as a faculty member at the Pipestone Indian Service in Minnesota in 1909, and was living in Chin Lee, Arizona in 1915.
