Edison Mt. Pleasant Student File

Student file of Edison Mt. Pleasant, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1903, graduated in 1911, and ultimately departed on November 24, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, correspondence, an outing record, progress/conduct cards, progress/conduct cards from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, and photographs.

The file indicates Mt. Pleasant was a carpenter and cabinet maker that briefly worked at Colestock and Shellhouse in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1910 as part of his outing and began helping around his home in Lewiston, New York in 1913.

In school documentation Edison Mt. Pleasant's name is also spelled Edson Mt. Pleasant and Eddison Mt. Pleasant. He is also known as Edison Mount Pleasant, Edison Perry Mt. Pleasant, and Ed Mt. Pleasant.
