Student file of Charles Arcornge, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1907, and departed on June 22, 1910. The file contains a student information card, trade/position record cards, an application for enrollment, a physical record card, returned student surveys, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving that indicates Arcornge was working as a laborer in Carter, South Dakota in 1913. Arcornge also attended St. Francis Mission School at some point before arriving at Carlisle.
In school documentation Charles Arcornge's name is also spelled Charles Acronage. He is also known as Charles Arcorne (also spelled Charles Arcoren and Charles Aircorn). Although the parents' names are listed as Arcoren on the admissions form, school documentation and newspapers seem to consistently use the spelling Arcornge, as does Charles in his returned student surveys.
Note: Students Charles Arcornge and Rudolph Arcornge were brothers.
