William H. Beck of the Omaha and Winnebago Agency writes to Richard Henry Pratt providing a variety of updates. Beck notes that he has identified 9 potential students for Carlisle, discusses land questions at the Omaha and Winnebago Agency, notes the presence of representatives from the Genoa Indian School at the Agency, and outlines his views on farming practices. Beck also discusses poor treatment of him by the Washington press, the potential pitfalls to be faced by former Carlisle students if they were to return to the reservation, the inability for Carlisle students to practice their industrial trades on the reservation, and Henry M. Rice's daughter.
