A researcher has identified the person standing in the last row behind White Buffalo as Kise Williams.

The Cumberland County Historical Society's cataloging identifies them as from the Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Comanche, Pawnee, and Nez Perce nations and that the photo was taken on the date of their arrival, October 22, 1883. Twenty-three male students arrived on that date from those nations.
