Band Stand and Benches, c. 1911

The caption on the front of the postcard reads: Band Stand and Teachers Quarters, Indian School, Carlisle, Pa. It is likely that this is incorrect and the postcard actually shows the bandstand and girls quarters. (The flag pole and what is probably the Superintendent's Quarters are in the background.)

The postcard was addressed to Mr. Piercen Knaub of Dillsburg, Pa. R. F. D. No. 1. The message reads: "My Dear Father, I will write you a few lines today to let you know that we are all well and hope you are all the same. the baby has two teeth and he is rid of his cold and is getting big and [?] Johnie is much better and is out every day, [?] Maud."
