Commissioner of Indian Affairs Ezra A. Hayt's response letter to donor Lea Lugner offering to send a "Christmas box" to the students at the school. Hayt suggests that gifts would be welcome as there are 158 children at the school, but government funds can only be spent on clothing and other school essentials. Hayt encourages Lugner to write to Pratt to ask about the students' needs.
