Richard Henry Pratt responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding a request from missionary S. S. Burleson for the return of Celicia Schanandore. Pratt provides Schananadore's history at the school and notes that she desired to remain at Carlisle to complete her course of study. However, when presented with the Burleson's letter she has indicated that duty now calls her home which Pratt believes should be complied with but awaits further instructions.
