Mary Washakie Student File

Student file of Mary Washakie, a member of the Shoshone Nation, who entered the school on February 29, 1912 and departed on June 5, 1912. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a financial transaction, and a report after leaving indicating Washakie was a housewife living in Wind River, Wyoming in 1914.

In school documentation Mary Washakie's name is also spelled Mary Washake. Her married name is Mary Sonnicant (Mrs. Cody Sonnicant).

Note: Although this file shows an arrival date of February 28, the admissions ledger and her information card suggest that she actually arrived on February 29.
