Manly Whippoorwill Student File

Student file of Manly Whippoorwill, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on April 5, 1898, and departed on June 10, 1902.  The file contains a student information card, former student response postcards, a returned student survey, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that from 1910 to 1914 he was living in Cherokee, North Carolina, working as a farmer.

In school documentation Manly Whippoorwill's name is also spelled Manley Whipoorwill, Manley Whippoorwill, and Manley H. Whippoorwill. He is also known as W. M. Whippoorwill.
