Pratt Forwards Claim Inquiry Letter to Office

Richard Henry Pratt forwards a letter from an Indian Depredation Claim law firm to the Office of Indian Affairs. Pratt states that this is the fifth letter of this type he has received for a claim he had in 1869 and that was paid out in the early 1870s. He concludes that if other claims against the government are treated in a similar manner than there is likely some swindling occurring.
