Jeanette Buckles Student File

Student file of Jeanette Buckles, a member of the Assiniboine Nation, who entered the school on June 19, 1891, graduated in 1899, and departed on May 10, 1899. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving. The file indicates Buckles was an assistant matron in Puyallup School in Tacoma, Washington and was living in Verde, Nevada in 1911.

In school documentation Jeanette Buckles is also known as Jeannette M. Buckles and Nettie Buckles. Her married name is Jeanette Buckles McDonald.

The Red Man and Helper vol. 1, no. 9, September 7, 1900 references a letter from "Jeanette Horn ('99)"; it seems that this is Jeanette Buckles as she is the only "Jeanette" who graduated in 1899.
