Student file of Hattie Sittingbear, a member of the Arikara Nation, who entered the school on June 7, 1898 and departed on August 12, 1903. The file contains student information cards indicating that Sittingbear went on five outings to various locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey during her time at Carlisle.
In school documentation Hattie Sittingbear's name is also spelled Hattie Sitting Bear. Her married name is Hattie Waters or Hattie Sitting Bull Waters (Mrs. L. B. Waters).
