Elder.” Page two reported about “The Persian Talk” and an article titled “From William Campbell (Chippewa) at Last” that he wrote on his way home to Minnesota. Also published was “Another Offer” which gave subscription information; baseball news; short news paragraphs; a talk about doctors in Persia; news that Thomas Morgan was appointed Commissioner of Indian Affairs; the high marks of Carlisle High School graduates; news that Carlos Montezuma opened his own medical practice; and that Annie Menaul (Pueblo) was married. Page three featured many one sentence blurbs about teachers, guests, band drill, and articles that reported the death of Dr. Rittenhouse's daughter Harriet, the lawn party and sociable, the return of teacher Miss Fisher who had brought Apache children to Mt. Vernon Barracks, and the hiring of new teacher Annie Hamilton. Page four included several articles titled “A Wise Man Says to All of Us Young People” that offered a series of platitudes; “Boost Yourself;” “A Card,” which featured a sarcastic thank you; “A Happy Indian Girl in the County: Many Such” who ordered a subscription to the Indian Helper; and the weekly Enigma.
