Dahney E. George, a member of the Cherokee nation and Carlisle graduate, applies to be a teacher in the Indian Service, preferably at her home in North Carolina.
Richard H. Pratt forwards George's application to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs and endorses her in his cover letter. Assistant Matron Mary E. Campbell also endorses George, and George includes a copy of her diploma from Carlisle.
