Superintendent of Printing Marianna Burgess requests a leave of absence to attend the Indian Convention at Newport, Oregon and for 20 days vacation. Richard H. Pratt forwards and approves Burgess' request.

John R. Procter, Civil Service Commission President, sends announcement to be published for an open competitive exam for the drawing school teacher position at Carlisle.

Edgar A. Allen requests the services of a painter for 60 days to assist in painting buildings on the Carlisle Indian School grounds.

Edgar A. Allen requests authority to pay the wife of Oliver Harlan, Assistant Farmer, for her services as a housekeeper during the summer months while students live on the school farm.

Acting Superintendent Edgar A. Allen submits a report that lists employees who have changed positions (Carrie E. Weekley, Sadie E. Newcomer, and Mabel B. Sherry) and those who are new hires (James L. Scott). The report includes position title and salary.
