The file indicates that Redthunder was as an assistant matron at the Mount Pleasant Indian School in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan in 1910 and then began working as an assistant matron in at the Jicarilla School in Dulce, New Mexico in 1913.
In school documentation Mary Redthunder's name is also spelled Mary Red Thunder. She is also known as Mary M. Redthunder and Taninyahiyayewin Saketopa.
