Mary A. Bailey Student File

Student file of Mary A. Bailey, a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on October 22, 1902 and ultimately departed on August 5, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a medical/physical record, a returned student survey, an outing record, outing evaluations, a news clipping, applications for enrollment, student information cards, a report after leaving, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Bailey worked in the office of Senators and addressing campaign speeches for Congressman Charles N. Pray of Montana in Washington D. C. around 1911 and was training to be a nurse at Kensington Hospital for Women on the outing program in 1913 and 1914.

In school documentation Mary A. Bailey is also known as Mary Bailey and Mayme A. Bailey. Her married name is Mary Kennedy (Mrs. Alvin Kennedy or Mrs. Alvin W. Kennedy).

Note: Other documentation records that she married former student Alvin Kennedy.
