Louisa Kenney Student File

Student file of Louisa Kenney, member of the Karuk Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1905, graduated in 1910, and departed on June 10, 1910. The file includes student information cards, an outing evaluation, medical/physical records, a former student response postcard, news clippings, correspondence, a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a financial transaction. The file indicates Kenney attended high school in Palo Alto, California in 1910 and then left for her home in Minnesota in 1913 to marry her husband, Charles Holstein.

In school documentation Louisa Kenney's name is also spelled Louisa Kenny. She is also known as Louise Kenney (also spelled Louise Kenny). Her married name is Louisa Holstein (Mrs. Charles Holstein).

Note: Although documentation in her file lists Louisa Kenney as Klamath, a researcher has indicated that she is actually Karuk.
