Julia Bent Student File

Student file of Julia Bent, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 6, 1880, graduated in 1890, and ultimately departed on July 5, 1893. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, returned student surveys, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Bent attended the Normal School in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania in 1892 and 1893, was an interpreter and keeping house for her family in Darlington, Oklahoma in 1907 and 1910, and was a housewife and interpreter in Calumet, Oklahoma in 1913.

In school documentation Julia Bent's married name is Julia Prentiss (Mrs. Noble Prentiss) or Julia Bent Prentiss.

Note: Julia Bent married former student Noble Prentis.
