Joseph Guyon Student File

Student file of Joseph Guyon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on December 7, 1911 and departed on June 15, 1914. The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, an outing evaluation, an application for enrollment, a report after leaving, and a former student response post card. The file also contains correspondence and news clippings regarding Joseph Guyon's career playing football for the school and later for the Georgia School of Technology. These letters and news clippings deal with issues regarding Guyon's eligibility to play for Georgia Tech due to the Carlisle Indian School's collegiate status in athletics.

In school documentation Joseph Guyon's name is also spelled Joseph Guoyn (likely a typo) and Joseph N. Guyon. He is also known as Joe Guyon and Joe Gagnen.
