Joseph Blackbear (Goaso) Student File

Student file of Joseph Blackbear, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 15, 1889 and ultimately graduated in 1898, departing on September 19, 1898. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 Blackbear had married Cora Blind Man and was living in Hammon, Oklahoma, working as a store clerk. 

In school documentation Joseph Blackbear's name is also spelled Joseph Black Bear. He is also known as Goaso.
