George C. Peake Student File

Student file of George C. Peake, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on March 21, 1900, graduated in 1902, and ultimately departed on March 29, 1909. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, news clippings, a returned student survey, a progress/conduct card from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates that Peake attended the Dickinson Collegiate Preparatory School at Conway Hall in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1907 where during the course of his studies he won the gold medal for oratory, studied law at the Northwestern College of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1914, and enlisted in the U.S. army in 1918 as an artilleryman.

In school documentation George C. Peake's name is also spelled George Peake and George C. Peak.
