Edward Rogers (Enwwayie dung) Student File

Student file of Edward Rogers (Enwwayie dung), a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 15, 1894, graduated in 1897, and departed on July 2, 1901. The file contains news clippings, former student response postcards, a student information card, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, and correspondence.

The file indicates Rogers was the captain of the 1900 Carlisle football team and later coached the team.  The file also indicates that Rogers attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), Dickinson College, Dickinson School of Law, and the University of Minnesota Law School, was practicing law in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1907, was an attorney at law in Walker, Minnesota from 1909 to 1913, and was elected to the head chief of the Chippewas in 1913.

In school documentation Edward Rogers' name is also spelled Edward L. Rogers, E. L. Rodgers, Edward Lowell Rogers, and Ed Rogers. He is also known as Enwwayie dung.
