Caleb Carter Student File

Student file of Caleb Carter, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on October 12, 1909, graduated in 1912, and ultimately departed on April 5, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, a physical record, student information cards, progress cards, and former student response postcards indicating that he left Carlisle to become a farmer in Kansas and then moved to Montana. Among the files is also a news clipping in which Caleb Carter stated that he had a large plot of land in Wisconsin.

In school documentation Caleb Carter is also known as Caleb W. Carter and Ip-nau-sau-lau-kaskt.
