Benjamin Caswell Student Information Card

Student information card of Benjamin Caswell, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1889 and departed on June 10, 1895. The information card indicates that Caswell had graduated in 1892, studied carpentry, married fellow student Leila Cornelius, and was living in Cass Lake, Minnesota in 1913.

Note: When he first enrolled, Caswell was not 11, as is listed on this card. He was more likely 20 or 21 when he first arrived in 1889, based on being listed as 23 when he reenrolled in 1892 after having received a diploma earlier that year.
