Abbie Somers Student File

Student file of Abbie Somers, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 24, 1910 , graduated in 1918, and departed on June 9, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card, applications for enrollment, physical records, correspondence, outing evaluations, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, financial transactions, an outing record, Somers' biographical essay from her senior year, and a certificate of transfer. The files indicate that after graduating, Somers married Roy Oshkosh and had returned home to Denver, Colorado.

In school documentation Abbie Somers' name is also spelled Abbie Summers and Abbie Soners (likely a typo). She is also known as Abigail Summers. Her married name is Abbie Oshkosh (Mrs. Roy Oshkosh).

Note: It is not clear if the student's mother, Christine Archiquette, is the same person who also attended Carlisle.
