Richard Henry Pratt responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding a request from Sophia Lacey to enroll her children at the Carlisle Indian School. Pratt notes that if the children are eligible then he would be glad to enroll them as well as arrange transportation. Pratt further states that many students from this area appear nearly white and some students were sent without the consent of the parents.
