His name does not appear in the admissions ledger nor in the quarterly enrollment report for December 31, 1913 (which would cover the date of this document), and his name cannot be found among school publications or any other general administrative records or correspondence. It is likely that Albert Whirlwind arrived at Carlisle with the intention of being enrolled, but that following his physical examination, he was sent elsewhere to have the problem with his right eye corrected. In any case, Albert Whirlwind does not appear ever to have been enrolled as a student at the Carlisle Indian School.
