Elizabeth Williams Student Information Cards

Student information cards of Elizabeth Williams, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 1, 1893 and ultimately departed on February 18, 1903.

Note: This student should not be confused with the other Elizabeth "Lizzie" Williams, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who was also a member of the Graduating Class of 1903.

Electa Metoxen Student File

Student file of Electa Metoxen, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 29, 1894, and ultimately departed on June 23, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, news clippings, correspondence between Electa and the school in which she writes about the many places she has lived, her husband's occupation, and her children. The file also contains a report after leaving indicating that in 1917 she was living in Wagner, South Dakota.

Note: In this file the student's name appears as Electa Metoxen, Electra Metoxen, and Electre Metoxen. She writes back to the school under her married name Electa Metoxen Hare.

Amelia Metoxen Student File

Student file of Ameila Metoxen, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on January 19, 1895 and ultimately departed on Feb 12, 1906. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, and correspondence. The file indicates Metoxen was a baker in Sisseton, South Dakota in 1917.

Mary Ann Smith Student File

Student file of Mary Ann Smith, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on March 13, 1896, and departed on September 21, 1905. The file contains student information cards, returned student response postcards, a returned student survey, letters and correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating Smith was working as a dressmaker as well as a housewife in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1913.

Lapolio Cheago Student File

Student file of Lapolio Cheago, a member of the Papago Nation, who entered the school on June 21, 1896 and departed on October 3, 1907. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating Cheago was working as a nurse in Phoenix, Arizona in 1915.

Note: This student is also referred to as Helen L. Cheago within the file.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, news clippings, an outing record, a progress and conduct card, and a report after leaving indicating that she was living in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1911.

Theresa Brown Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Brown was a dress maker in Hogansburg, New York in 1910.
