Louisa King Student File

Student file of Louisa King, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1892 and departed on March 20, 1895. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating King married John Hill and was living in West De Pere, Wisconsin, in 1912. Other records show that King first enrolled on June 22, 1888. The card in this file reflects her re-enrollment.

Note: In this file the student's name appears both as Louisa King and Louise King.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to related to a different student, Lillian King. That document has now been included with the Lillian King file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 34_folder 1615.

Note: These documents were found filed at the U.S. National Archives in the same folder as documents related to another Louisa King.

The file contains a student information card, and correspondence between the school, a clothing company and her regarding a sum of money she was owed and a order of clothes she had not received. 

Note: In this file the student often writes back under her married name Mary Ettawegeshik.

Elsie Cornelius Student File

Student file of Elsie Cornelius, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 16, 1889, and ultimately departed on June 6, 1895. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving indicating Cornelius was married and working as a housekeeper in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1912.

Cora Cornelius Student File

Student file of Cora Cornelius, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 16, 1889, graduated in 1898, and ultimately departed on July 5, 1898. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Cornelius was keeping house in Buffalo, New York in 1907, a housewife in Oneida, Wisconsin in 1910 and 1911, and a housewife in West DePere, Wisconsin in 1913.

Bertha Dye Student File

Student file of Bertha Dye, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1892, graduated in 1899, and ultimately departed on March 3, 1899. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Dye was a housewife in Gowanda, New York from 1907 to 1911.
