Peter Eastman Student File

Cornelia Belle Eastman Student File

Student file of Cornelia Belle Eastman, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 6, 1912, and departed on October 19, 1915. A note in the file says she re-enrolled on January 8, 1916 but no final departure date is given. The file contains student information cards, an outing record, a federal financial aid form, an outing evaluation, correspondence, financial transactions, certificates of promotion, and an application for enrollment. The file indicates that Eastman was living in Washington D. C. in 1922 and had applied to enter a training school for nurses in Maryland.

The file indicates that One Road returned home to Sisseton, South Dakota in 1915.

Bessie C. Eastman Student File

Student file of Besse C. Eastman, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 1, 1913 and departed on January 12, 1916. The file contains a student information card, a medical/physical record, an application for enrollment, an outing record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates that Eastman attended Camp Oahe or the Eastman Family Camp for Girls with Angel DeCora Dietz in Munsonville, New Hampshire, arrived in Winona, Minnesota in 1916 upon leaving school, and was living in Sisseton, South Dakota in 1917.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Cornelia Eastman. That document has now been included with the Cornelia Eastman file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 44_folder 2173.
