Sarah Monteith Student File

Student file of Sarah Monteith, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on September 24, 1902, graduated in 1917, and ultimately departed on May 29, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, a photograph, medical/physical records, correspondence, a progress/conduct card, financial transactions, a former student response postcard, a trade/position record card, a federal financial aid form, and certificates of promotion. The file indicates that after graduating Monteith returned home to Kamiah, Idaho and married Harry Moffett, a member of the Nez Perce Nation.

Note: In this file the student is referred to as Sarah Celia Monteith, Sarah Monteith, Sarah Montieth, and Celia Monteith.

Minnie Billings Student File

Student file for Minnie Billings, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on October 21, 1903, and ultimately departed on September 29, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a newspaper clipping, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, a former student response postcard, outing evaluations, a trade/position record card, outing records, correspondence, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving indicating Billings was a housewife living in Deseronto, Ontario in 1914.

Note: Students James Billings and Minnie Billings were siblings. Peter Billings (who enrolled in 1902) may be their brother.

Student file of Cora Battice, a member of the Sac & Fox Nation, who entered the school on August 30, 1906, graduated in 1915, and ultimately departed on October 16, 1916. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file includes correspondence, student information cards, progress/conduct card, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, returned student surveys, former student response postcards, trade/position card, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, and an outing record. The file indicates that Battice's trade was Indian art.

Student information card of Cora Battice, a member of the Sac & Fox Nation, who entered the school on August 30, 1906 and departed on June 6, 1916. The card indicates that Battice graduated in 1915 and was living in Prague, Oklahoma after leaving the school.
