David Kah-zhe (Kah-zhe) Student File

Student file of David Kah-zhe, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on April 30, 1887, and departed on November 7, 1895.  The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1910, Kah-zhe was working as a U.S. Indian Service Scout in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

John Uyya Student File

Student file of John Uyya, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on August 24, 1889 and ultimately departed on March 27, 1899. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving indicating that Uyya was working as a farmer and rancher in Seama, New Mexico in 1913. Uyya also attended a school in Sante Fe, New Mexico from 1894 to 1895.

Note: Uyya is also known by the surname Uya.

George Ell (Ell) Student Information Card

Student information card of George Ell (Ell), a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on March 26, 1890. Ell died on April 7, 1891 while attending the school and was buried in the cemetery on the school grounds.

Student file of Bunn Armstrong, a member of the Assinibione Nation, who entered the school on April 15, 1890, and departed on July 2, 1898.  The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving that indicates that Armstrong served as a rancher in Wolf Point, Montana, in 1910.

Antonio Tapia Student File

Student file of Antonio Tapia, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on September 8, 1893, graduated in 1901, and departed on March 19, 1901. The file contains a student information card, returned student surveys, a returned student survey, and a letter/correspondence. The file indicates that Tapia was a black smith and working at home in Pojoaque, New Mexico in 1907, was teaching at a Santa Fe, New Mexico District School in 1909 while also serving as an interpreter, and was a night watch in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1910.

The file contains a student information card, a trade/position record card, and correspondence about Bluejacket looking for a job with the Indian Service.

Note: In the file the student is referred to as both Tecumseh Bluejacket and Pearl Tecumseh Bluejacket.

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file indicates Lawyer attended the Sante Fe Normal School in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1899, was a clerk in Fort Lapwai, Idaho from 1907 to 1911, and was ranching in Pine Ridge, South Dakota in 1913.
