Jose Saracino (Tea-ray) Student File

Charles W. Ryan Student File

Student file of Charles W. Ryan, a member of the Pokanoket Nation, who entered the school on October 13, 1908 and departed on February 8, 1911. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, a medical/physical record, a returned student survey, former student response postcards, correspondence, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates Ryan attended the Belvidere School in Belvidere, New Jersey in 1909 and 1910 while out in the country and was working as a farmer and fisherman in Menemsha, Massachusetts in 1912 and as a steamfitter in Gay Head, Massachusetts in 1913.

Kee Walter Student File

Student file of Kee Walter, a member of the Navajo Nation, who entered the school on February 16, 1909 and departed on June 26, 1912. The file contains a student information card, a letter/correspondence, an application for enrollment, outing evaluations, an outing record, a returned student survey, a progress/conduct record, and medical/physical records. The file indicates Walter was living in Fort Defiance, Arizona in 1912.

Note: This file originally contained trade record cards for another student; Kee Shelley. The card has since been moved to the correct file; NARA_1327_RG 75_Series 1327_box 70_folder 3467.

Wesley Youngbird Student File

Student file of Wesley Youngbird, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on September 10, 1910 and ultimately departed on January 14, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains financial transactions, student information cards, a federal financial aid form, outing evaluations, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, a certificate of promotion, and correspondence mainly regarding Youngbird's service in the Navy in World War I in 1918.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Wesly YoungBird, Wesly Youngbird, and Wesley Young Bird throughout the file.
