Stacy Matlock Student File

Student file of Stacy Matlock, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on October 22, 1883, graduated in 1890, and ultimately departed on May 18, 1892. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, a trade and position card, a report after leaving, and newspaper clippings indicating that Stacy Matlock, who had played football at the school, was a Pawnee Chief. The file also contains correspondence between Matlock and the school regarding his daughter Cecelia and other Pawnee children at the school. 

Note: In this file, the student's name appears both as Stacy Matlack and Stacy Matlock, but family members have indicated that Matlock is the correct spelling.

Note: Matlock married student Ella Manchief, and subsequently another student, Blanche Bill, after Manchief's death. He was also the father of student Cecelia Matlock.

Grover Morris Student File

Student file of Grover Morris, a member of the Sac and Fox Nation, who entered the school on August 24, 1901 and departed on September 6, 1904. The file contains a student information card and a returned student survey indicating that he was living in Meeker, Oklahoma in 1911.

Alexander Cadotte Student File

Student file of Alexander Cadotte, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on March 29, 1906 and departed on June 21, 1911. The file contains correspondence, trade/position record card, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, news clippings, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Cadotte was a painter in 1911 in Bayfield, Wisconsin and raising stock and farming in Bayfield, Wisconsin in 1912

Note: Cadotte married fellow student Rose Ohmert.

Student file of Alice Morris, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on August 31, 1906 and departed on June 19, 1911. The file contains a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, a returned student survey, a student information card, trade/position record cards, medical/physical records, news clippings, and an application for enrollment. The file indicates that Morris was working as a cook in Phoenix, Arizona in 1913.

Student file of Herbert Morris, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on September 8, 1911 and departed on October 3, 1912. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, a former student response postcard, letters/correspondence, financial correspondence, an outing record, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Morris was working with the Santa Fe Rail Road in Kansas City, Missouri in 1913 and living in Pawnee, Oklahoma in 1917.
