Francis Guardipee Student File

Student file of Francis Guardipee, a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on January 1, 1905 and ultimately departed on January 30, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains returned student surveys, applications for enrollment, a photograph, former student response postcards, student information cards, a trade/position record card, a program for an event called "Cosmovilla" for which Guardipee served on the decorating committee and as a performer, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates Guardipee attended night school at the Y.M.C.A in Seattle, Washington in 1908, was a chauffeur in New York City, in 1910, stockraising and a rancher in Family, Montana in 1910, studying law in Family, Montana in 1913, and an expert mechanic in Browning, Montana in 1914.

Charles Fish (Longfish) Student File

The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file includes student information cards, an application for enrollment, correspondence, a returned student survey, a report after leaving, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, a trade/position record card, and news clippings. The file indicates that Fisher painted for the government.

Note: This student's name appears to have originally been Charles Longfish (as on his application), but at the school they seem to have called him Charles Fish or Charles L. Fish. He is also known as Charles Fisher, Charles Fisch, Charly Long Fish, and Charley Longfish.
