Rose Whipper Student File

Student file of Rose Whipper, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 20, 1906 and ultimately departed on May 11, 1914. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, outing evaluations, a progress/conduct card, outing records, financial transactions, a returned student survey, and correspondence. The file indicates that Whipper attended the YMCA convention in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1914, and was a student at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1914. By 1917, Whipper was a seamstress in the Browning School in Browning, Montana.

James Gabriel Killowat Student File

Student file of James Gabriel Killowat, a member of the Kootenai Nation, who entered the school on March 2, 1911 and departed on December 22, 1913. The file contains a student information card, medical/physical records, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, an outing record, outing evaluations, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Killowat was a member of the United States Army with the 21st Company at Fort Slocum, New York and was a member of Battery D, Third Field Artillery at Eagle Pass, Texas in 1917.

Note: the student in this file is identified as James Gabriel Killowat and James Kallawot.
