Ahquinimy Neopet Student File

The student file of Ahquinimy Neopet, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1880 and departed on June 17, 1884. The file contains a returned student survey, a report after leaving, letters/correspondence. The file indicates Neopet was an employment agent and assistant manager for the Menominee Logging Manufacturing operation in 1910 in Keshena, Wisconsin and was a foreman for the Menominee Indian Mills in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1913.

Note: After leaving, Neopet was known as Reginald Oshkosh. He states that he is one of the first students to attend the Carlisle Indian School. Many of the documents in his file relate to the education of his children.

Abel Melotte Student File

Student file of Abel Melotte, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on December 16, 1900 and departed on September 30, 1901. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving that indicates Melotte was working as a laborer in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1910.

The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Melotte was married to Louis Wishecoby and was a housekeeper in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1912.

Paul Tomah Student File

Student file Paul Tomah, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1914 and departed on January 7, 1915. The file contains a student information card with a note stating his arm was amputated at the shoulder, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, correspondence concerning Tomah's health status, progress/conduct cards, and a financial transaction.
