Frank Andrews Student File

Student file of Frank Andrews, a member of the Puyallup Nation, who entered the school on August 9, 1894 and ultimately departed on May 25, 1905. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, returned student survey, correspondence, a news clipping, a report after leaving, and a former student response postcard that indicates Andrews was working as a farmer in Wapato, Washington in 1912.

Alfred Blackbird Student File

Student file of Alfred Blackbird, a member of the Omaha Nation, who entered the school on October 13, 1898 and departed on June 26, 1903. The file contains a student information card, news clippings, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, letters/correspondence related to the Indian Rights Association and Blackbird's perspective on his experience at Carlisle, photographs, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Blackbird attended Cotner University in Bethany, Nebraska as well as Bellevue College after leaving Carlisle and was a farmer in Macy, Nebraska in 1913.

James M. Parsons Student File

Student file of James M. Parsons, a member of the Nez Perce Nation, who entered the school on October 14, 1901, and departed on November 11, 1905. The file contains a student information card, correspondence related to an attempt to determine Parsons' address, and a report after leaving that indicates Parsons was living in Kamiah, Idaho in 1914. The file also indicates that Parsons attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall).

Roger Venne Student File

Student file of Roger Venne, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1902, and departed on September 28, 1906.  The file contains a student information card, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that Venne was working as a farmer in Walhalla, North Dakota.

Roger Gray Stone Student File

Student file of Roger Gray Stone, a member of the Sioux nation, who entered the school on October 20, 1902 and departed on September 6, 1907. The file contains a news clipping, trade/position record card, a student information card, a returned student survey, letters and correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that he resided in Shield, North Dakota in 1915. 

Note: During his time at the school this person appears to have gone by Roger Gray Stone, and after leaving he used Roger Greystone.
