Louise Striker Student File

Student file of Louise Striker, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on September 21, 1911 and ultimately departed on June 11, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, financial transactions, a progress/conduct card, outing evaluations, letters, an outing record, an application for financial aid, and a certificate of promotion. Much of the file is correspondence discussing an incident while Striker was on an outing in the country in which the outing patron's dog died.

Lucinda Reed Student File

Student file of Lucinda Reed, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on March 18, 1913 and departed on January 28, 1915. The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, financial transactions, and correspondence.

Most of the correspondence focuses on Lucinda's pregnancy following one of her outings and her return home.

Note: In this file the student is identified as Lucinda Reed and Cindy Reed.

Agnes Owl Student File

Student file of Agnes Owl, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on October 22, 1914, and ultimately departed on June 21, 1918. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, a physical record, an outing evaluation, correspondence, monthly reports from an outing patron, an outing record, and a federal financial aid form. The files indicate that Owl was taking training classes to be a nurse and after leaving Carlisle began working at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
