Alfred Brown (Na'koya'ta) Student File

Student file of Alfred Brown (Na'koya'ta), a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1879, and departed on April 3, 1883.  The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that he was living in Oklahoma between 1910 and 1913, working as an interpreter and evangelist.

Student file of James West, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on November 2, 1910 and departed on June 3, 1915. The file contains a progress/conduct card, a student information card, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, outing evaluations, an outing record, financial transactions, a returned student survey, and letters/correspondence.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, James Thompson. Those documents have now been included with the James Thompson file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 101_folder 4365.

Grover Allen (Nan-mah-ah-quah) Student File

Student file of Grover Allen (Nan-mah-ah-quah), a member of the Kickapoo Nation, who entered the school on October 30, 1911 and departed on April 15, 1914. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, an outing evaluation, a trade/position record card, an outing record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Allen was working as a farmer in Gladwin, Iowa and Coneville, Iowa in 1914.
