Randal Delchey (Cork Screw) Student Information Card

Student information card of Randal Delchey (Cork Screw), a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on February 2, 1884 and departed on June 8, 1889.

Charles E. Dagenett Student File

Student file of Charles E. Dagenett, a member of the Peoria Nation, who entered the school on November 15, 1887, graduated in 1891, and ultimately departed on December 14, 1891. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, news clippings, photographs, returned student surveys, a report after leaving, and letters/correspondence.

The file indicates Dagenett attended Dickinson College in 1891; graduated from Eastman Business College in Poughkeepsie, New York; was the Supervisor of Indian Employment in Denver, Colorado in 1910; executive committee chairman of the American Indian Association in 1911; and was the Supervisor of Indian Employment at the Indian Office in Washington, D. C. in 1915.

Note: Dagenett married fellow student Esther Miller.

Smith Shawmegaw Student File

Student file of Smith Shawmegaw, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 8, 1889, and departed on June 21, 1894.  The file contains a student information card that reports that Shawmegaw went on several outings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania during his time at the school.

Jonah Sonday (Shwanadosa) Student File

Student file of Jonah Sonday (Shwanadosa), a member of the Ottawa Nation, who entered the school on September 19, 1894 and departed on September 20, 1900. The file contains a student information card, news clippings, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Sonday was working for the Indian Service at Genoa, Nebraska in 1910 and for the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company in Cleveland, Ohio in 1917.

Solomon Webster Student File

Student file of Solomon Webster, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 28, 1897 and ultimately departed on June 27, 1905. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving indicating that Webster was farming in Oneida, Wisconsin in 1910 and living in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1912.

Sherman Seneca Student File

Student file of Sherman Seneca, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on September 13, 1898, and departed on January 12, 1904. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicates that Irving was working as a farmer in Irving, New York in 1910.
