Thomas A. Skenandore Student File

Student file of Thomas A Skenandore, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on March 23, 1888 and ultimately departed on May 18, 1896. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains two student information cards, a newspaper clipping, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Skenandore was farming in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1910 and was the second American Indian to serve in the United States Navy.

Note: In the file the student is identified as Thomas A. Skenandore and William Schenandoah, and Thomas Schanandore.

Daniel McDongan (Pah-she-ah-tse) Student File

Student file of Daniel McDongan (Pah-she-ah-tse), a member of the Osage Nation, who entered the school on November 1, 1890 and departed on June 27, 1894.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that McDongan was farming in Fairfax, Oklahoma in 1910.

Note: This student is referred as Daniel McDougan and Daniel McDongan.

Frank Scott Student File

Student file of Frank Scott, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1892, and ultimately departed on December 4, 1905. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence in which Scott argued against the exclusion of "New York Indians from Carlisle Schools and other schools supported by the United States Government," and a report after leaving. The file indicates Scott was working as a trolley motorman in Buffalo, New York in 1910 and was living in Buffalo, New York in 1911.

Robert Elige Crow Student Information Card

Student information card of Robert Elige Crow, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who entered the school on December 14, 1893 and departed on October 4, 1899.

Nicholas Pena Student Information Card

Student information card of Nicholas Pena, a member of the Copah Nation, who entered the school on September 4, 1895, graduated in 1905, and departed on March 22, 1905.

Uriah Goodcane Student File

Student file of Uriah Goodcane, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 19, 1895 and departed on October 6, 1899. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 Goodcane was living in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

George Quinn Student File

Student file of George Quinn, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on August 28, 1896 and departed on July 2, 1901. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, news clippings and a report after leaving indicating he was a farmer in Peever, South Dakota in 1910.

Albert Exendine (Too-pean-ing) Student Information Cards

Student information cards of Albert Exendine (Too-pean-ing), a member of the Delaware Nation, who entered the school on December 18, 1899 and ultimately departed on June 21, 1906. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The cards indicate that Exendine graduated from the Carlisle Indian School in 1906, he attended Dickinson College, and later became an employee at Carlisle.

Mike Pierce Student File

Student file of Mike Pierce, a member of the Walla Walla Nation, who entered the school on April 24, 1900 and departed on April 29, 1901. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving that indicates Pierce was working as a laborer in Pendleton, Oregon in 1910.
